The Role

As a Senior Frontend Engineer, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and optimizing Certivo’s frontend architecture. You will build highly performant, scalable, and intuitive user interfaces for our AI-driven compliance platform. Your work will ensure a seamless user experience while integrating complex AI-powered features into our product.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain frontend applications using Next.js and React, ensuring performance and scalability.
• Architect and implement state management solutions, preferably using Zustand, to manage complex UI states effectively.
• Enhance UI/UX by working closely with designers and backend engineers to create intuitive and elegant interfaces.
• Optimize frontend performance, particularly for handling large-scale data visualizations and AI-driven compliance dashboards.
• Utilize Tailwind CSS and modern styling techniques to build responsive and aesthetically pleasing web applications.
• Implement efficient package management strategies, preferably using pnpm, for dependency management and build optimization.
• Collaborate with backend teams to seamlessly integrate APIs and AI-driven features.
• Conduct rigorous testing and debugging, ensuring robust and stable frontend applications.
• Stay updated with emerging frontend technologies and continuously improve our frontend stack and best practices.

The Ideal Candidate

We are looking for a frontend engineer who is passionate about UI/UX, performance optimization, and modern frontend technologies.

Must-Have Qualifications:

• 5+ years of experience in frontend development with expertise in Next.js, React, and TypeScript.
• Strong understanding of state management with preference for Zustand, Redux, or similar libraries.
• Proficiency in Tailwind CSS and modern CSS methodologies to build clean and maintainable UIs.
• Experience with package management tools, with a preference for pnpm.
• Deep expertise in frontend performance optimization, including efficient rendering, lazy loading, and handling large-scale datasets.
• Proficiency in API integration, including RESTful and GraphQL services.
• Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced startup environment.
• Experience working with design systems and component-driven development.

Nice-to-Have Qualifications:

• Experience with AI-driven applications or agentic workflows.
• Knowledge of WebAssembly or other frontend optimization techniques.
• Familiarity with observability tools such as Datadog for frontend monitoring.
• Prior experience working at a venture-backed startup.
